The Beauty of Southampton

Southampton is a quaint beach town about 3 hours northwest of Toronto. In the summer months the streets are bustling with young kids on their bikes - tennis rackets in hand, enroute to their daily lessons. Parents and kids heading toward the beach for a day in the sun, or lounging at the Dunes. Visitors wandering the main street of Southampton to explore some of the wonderful shops and restaurants.

This wonderful northern town provides something for everyone. The restaurant selection will give you lots of fantastic options to choose from if you decide to eat out. Wonderful spots like The Walker House, Duffy’s, The Outlaw Brew Co. , The Lighthouse , Room797, The Smokey Cactus, Armen’s, Dizzy Bird Coffee, or The Elk and Finch . If you decide you are going to eat in and cook for yourself, don’t miss a visit to The Southampton Meat Market (Best Steaks and Chicken EVER!)

There’s also wonderful shopping for those who may love to wonder in and out of some of the town’s exclusive shops. Sisters on Huron, Lac Boutique, Rumba, The Cooks Cupboard, The Southampton Olive Oil Company, This and That .. and many more !! There is also the Southampton Market, an amazing historic 140,000 sq/ft building filled with almost anything imaginable.

Regardless of how you spend your days, the evenings can always be topped off with a view of the world famous sunsets at the end of the main street. Every Friday night during the summer there is a special treat when the sunset piper pipes down the sunset on Southampton's beach at the flag. Come down about a half hour before the sun sets and enjoy the bag pipe music until after sunset.

Southampton is a wonderful place to enjoy nature, food, shopping and get immersed in a wonderful friendly small town culture.
